Wendy Carlos

Wendy Carlos is a Grammy Award-winning American musician who is best known for her electronic music and film scores, including the scores for two iconic Stanley Kubrick films, A Clockwork Orange and The Shining.

Wendy is an alumna of Brown University and Columbia University for music, physics and music composition respectively. Accomplishing much success during her early transition, Wendy officially came out to the public in the 1979 Playboy Magazine article, she stated that she had “always been concerned with liberation, and [I was] anxious to liberate myself.”  She is a recognized pioneer of avant-garde electronic music.
