The Transgender District in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood was founded in 2017 as Compton’s Transgender Cultural District by Aria Sa’id, Janetta Johnson, and Honey Mahogany.

It is the world's first urban locale dedicated to the transgender, gender non- conforming, non-binary and intersex community. The Transgender District currently serves the community with Name & Gender Marker Change clinics, its Entrepreneurship Accelerator, and other events.
