Lucas Silveira

Lucas Silveira was the first openly transgender man to sign a major record deal with a major record label in 2006. He has been featured in several articles of his own writing, speaking on harassment and bullying he has endured as a transgender man.

He is featured in the documentary Sexing the Trans Man, which explores the changes to trans men’s sexualities following medical transition. He was the first transgender man to win Canada’s Sexiest Man in the online publication Chart Attack.

He formed his band, The Cliks, in 2004 and went on to release 4 full length albums, not including singles, which include a cover to Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River.” He also co-hosted a show on OutTV in 2021, Shine True, which helped trans people obtain gender-affirming makeovers.
