Kate Bornstein
Born in 1948, Kate Bornstein realized at a young age that she did not identify as a boy. Forty years later, she realized she also does not identify as a woman, and has been writing about her nonbinary gender identity for almost thirty years. She sees gender not as a binary, but as an intentional practice and journey.
She has written a number of books that are taught all across the world, and is a famous lecturer on gender at many different institutions. She also has done groundbreaking work on suicide prevention.
