Geo Soctomah Neptune is a Passamaquoddy Two-Spirit, who is a basket maker, activist, storyteller, and educator.

They worked as an advocate against government abuse of Native people, and performed in drag shows as their persona “Lyzz Bien.” They became the first openly Two-Spirit elected official in Maine in 2020, serving on the school board of Indian Township. They won a $50,000 fellowship award from United States Artists for their accomplishments in black ash basketry.
