Andrea Horne
Andrea Horne is a Black trans woman who has made many contributions to the collection and preservation of Black trans history. Born in Los Angeles, she grew up with her family until she transitioned at age 15. A jazz singer, she eventually moved to San Francisco in the late 1970s, after performing there for years.
She is a member of the Trans Advisory Committee for the San Francisco Office of Transgender Initiatives, and also works on community outreach at the Curry Senior Center. She received the honor of Lifetime Grand Marshal at the 2022 San Francisco Pride.
