Alan L. Hart
Alan L. Hart was one of the first documented transgender men to undergo medical transition in the United States. He was notably the first trans man in the country to receive a hysterectomy.
He was not only a historic figure for trans men and medical transition, he was also a successful American physician, radiologist, tuberculosis researcher, writer, and novelist.
Near the end of his life, he gave lectures around the United States, advocating for increased fundraising for medical research and better support for patients with tuberculosis.
